Bella

In loving memory of our Bella Grace born 5-14-18  and passed on 2-6-21. She was 2 1/2 years old and for the last five months of her life she was battling an autoimmune disease. The short name of it is GME. We were grief stricken when we got the news of this terrible disease but we were not giving up hope and she battled it out all the way to the end until her little body could not take any more.

She was only 10 weeks old when we had gotten her.  I called her my little southern belle she came from Alabama so her name fits her perfect “Bella Grace”
She was a petite little girly girl who didn’t mind dressing up in pretty dresses and little bows.  Bella’s favorite things to do were to run down in the backyard with her big brother Bailey and her big sister Chloe they loved to bark at the other dogs and who ever else that happened to come by. She also loved running around and playing with her toys and trying to see if she could take a toy off her sister or a bone . that was her favorite things to do. She loved when it was snack time even towards the end she would get out of her bed and make her way in the kitchen for her snack.  I’ll never forget her sweet little face. Her site wasn’t all that great but her smell was intact and so was her listening skills when she heard that bag she was on it.

Bella was the sweetest little girl. She was perfect in every way. She was like an angel sent from above not a mean bone in her body.I love that little girl so much and miss her dearly. She has some friends that crossed  the rainbow bridge already and I’m sure that they were there to greet her. I hope they were all running around the fields together having a good old time pain-free. Bella Grace until we meet again my precious one just  know mommy and daddy love you so much. And we miss you terribly.  you were a joy to have in our life. even though it was way too short. now you go and run pain free And live that Puppy life that you so much deserve. Bailey and Chloe miss you and love you too and someday they too will join you at the rainbow bridge.

Teddy

Teddy was with his human mom and dad when he passed on February 9, 2021. Born in February 2002 to his rescued mom, Teddy was adopted by the Sakerka family and their cat, Xander, shortly thereafter. For 18 years Teddy would greet visitors with joy. Teddy loved and was loved by every person he met. As a puppy Teddy enjoyed herding his sisters, Samantha and Lauren, and nipping at their heels. He would have daily wrestling matches with his cat brother, Xander, who would tease Teddy and get him in trouble. He enjoyed his days by chasing moles and chipmunks along with Xander. Teddy also spent many hours waiting patiently for his favorite ground hog to come out from his burrow. As Teddy loved to explore his neighborhood, he was happy to receive attention from his neighbors, who would show him the way home. The Sakerka family thanks all of the neighbors who watched out for Teddy. In his senior years, Teddy loved to cuddle and spend quiet nights with his family. Above all, Teddy loved his treats. Teddy was loved and spoiled by his family. He was such a good puppy, giving love and devotion to his human family. Teddy is sorely missed by all who knew him, but mostly by his family who know he is now at peace.

Mercedes

Mercedes was born August 13, 2006 just outside New Kensington PA to dog mom Lexy and dog dad Scooby Doo.  Eight weeks later, she was welcomed into her forever home by human mom Kelly and human dad Chad. She enjoyed the luxury of being their baby until her human siblings Keegan, Rhiannon and Adrianna were born.  Mercedes quickly became an integral part of the Modro Family, everyone who knew the Modro family knew Mercedes and how important she was to them.

Mercedes was a dog who knew what she wanted in life.  She loved Starbucks Pup-A-Cino’s but hated chicken nuggets.  She loved the drive-thru but would whine when she felt that the line was too long.  She loved Christmas but HATED dressing up for Halloween. She loved her mom and dad, tolerated the kids, but hated visitors announced and unannounced (she took her job as doorbell seriously). She loved basking in the sun light on the kitchen floor regardless of how small that sliver of light was, but don’t you dare try to make her go outside in the rain. She loved being snuggled up on the couch with her mom, scrambled eggs on snow days, sitting in whatever blanket, hoodie, or pile of clean laundry was available, and the heated seat in the minivan.

Mercedes was loved and spoiled by her family.  She lived a great life that consisted of car rides, Christmas gifts, her own birthday celebrations, vacations, sleeping in the big bed, naps with mom, working from home with dad, and being read to by the kids.  In return, she gave her family much loves and unending devotion.  She is sorely missed by her family and they are looking forward to the day when they get to see her again.

Lucky

Lucky will be missed by all of his family.
He was the best dog anyone could have.
He was so well known in the neighborhood because he loved everyone he met.
Rest easy old man we love you,
                Love dad

Cider

Cider “Roo Roo” Lucente was a feisty and loveable Pomeranian who was found on the streets in bad shape by animal control during Fall 2019. Thanks to a lot of good humans who helped her, she arrived at the wonderful Paws Across Pittsburgh rescue and adoption agency. Cider began to receive the love and medical care she desperately needed and owes her life to PAP, especially her amazing foster mom, Courtney.

On January 4, 2020, Cider found her forever home and adoptive human parents, Michael and Lora, and a silly dog brother named Jack.

It took a little bit of time, but Cider learned to trust and love her new parents and home – and she even learned how fun it was to play! Cider tolerated her brother Jack but was more interested in humans. However, Jack and Cider learned to be snuggle buddies and treat-begging companions.

Cider affectionately earned multiple nicknames such as, “Roo Roo”, “Cidery Roo”, “Cidey Girl” and “Feisty McHammer-Pants”.

Cider's most favorite things in life were eating food especially Skinny Mini treats, sitting on the porch with her family on a nice day, barking at Jack when he runs around the house, sleeping, and cuddling with her humans.

Cider's birthdate is not exactly known, but veteranians estimated she was born in 2009. Despite her feisty spirit and resilience to her struggles in life, Cider unexpectedly became ill and quickly crossed the Rainbow Bridge at the age of 12 on January 24, 2021.

Cider will always be missed and loved by her family, especially her Mom and Dad. Cider taught her parents the power of love and helping animals in need, especially senior dogs.

Abby

My Dearest Abby

Abby was born April 18th, 2001 and brought into her family home as a tiny kitten. She immediately established her role as the queen of the house and upheld that role until the very end. She was quite sassy with a big personality. Queen Abby loved sunbathing, cuddling, Fancy Feast, listening to Kelly Clarkson, watching Harry Potter, looking out the window and playing with her toys. She frequently showed her affection by gentle head-butts and purring so loud you could hear her across the room. She was the most beautiful soul and made her family happy. She was a trooper throughout her renal failure treatments but it was eventually her time to pass. She lived to be 19 years and 9 months old. Abby was a loving cat and she is dearly missed.

Ceasar

He loved getting his butt scratched and snuggles. He would lay out on the deck in the spring and summer he loved sun bathing. Anyone who has ever met him will tell you what a good boy he was and how he would greet every one with a wagging tail waiting to be petted

Holly

After a battle with two different cancers, our sweet baby girl received her wings and crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday.  She passed in our arms with her two baby sisters, Hanna and Cassie by her side.  Holly was the sweetest and most loving angel.  She loved playing with her sisters, playing with her favorite ball and catching snowballs.  She is and will be missed so much.  Until we meet again sweet Holly, run and play.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal was the strongest cat in the world, living her best life for 22 years. She was a surprise Christmas gift in 1998 and we are so lucky we got to spend so much time with her. After fighting so hard, our girl returned to the stars. We will always love her. And we will always miss her. But we know she’s reunited with our other fur babies and living her best afterlife in Freddie Mercury’s mansion in the stars. We love you, Oatmeal Cookie. This is not goodbye, this is I’ll see you later.

Buns

Looking back on the years that you have been a part of our lives we feel so blessed to have been the ones that got to love you. You were the Alpha of our household and boy did you know it. From banging your food dish when you were hungry to thumping when you wanted attention, you always knew how to get all of the attention in the room. Mommy, Daddy, Grizzly, and Carmen all miss you so much. Thank you for being the best bunny a family could ask for. We love you Buns!
