Jace

Affectionately known as Jacey Cat, Jace was  born on October 16, 2008.  He and his twin brother Jack were both adopted from Animal Friends and have led a long, spoiled life with their humans.
Jace was a #1 hunter, and never met a lap, or human that he didn't like, even if they weren't so keen on cats……..if there were cuddles or pets to be had he was always first in line.

Gabby

Gabby began his life outside and was first noticed by his humans in January 2021 when he was nearly 1 year old. It took many months of food, treats, and playing with toys through the door, but he finally trusted his new humans and decided to be an indoor cat.

His Dad wasn't ready for another cat when Gabby came along, but Gabby quickly became his nighttime buddy, accompanying him in an otherwise sleeping house to get water and late night snacks. The love blossomed from there.

Gabby loved playing with all toys, especially the “bad snakey” fleece ribbon, his fuzzy opossum, and his circular ball track. But what he loved even more was to surprise his feline siblings with his favorite game of hide and pounce. His siblings, on the other hand, did not love this game.

Gabby enjoyed being petted and scritched everywhere and was even fond of belly rubs. He frequently ran ahead of the humans just to flop in front of them to demand pets and attention. And while getting brushed, he would roll from side to side to ensure no spots were missed.

Gabby was lively and fun. He made his presence known and was always interested in attention, whether that be pets, play, or cuddles. He brought continuous excitement to the lives of his siblings and humans.

Gabby is and will forever be missed by his humans.

Alice Quinn

Gone too soon, Alice passed away in her human mother’s hands, comforted and loved. The same hands that raised her all 12 years of her life, since she was 5 months old. She was known as Al, Little Al, Dragon Lady, and Tiny Dinosaur. She livened up the home with her family flight call, alerts, happy noises and whistles, and kisses. Her flight call was a simple two clicks, established in 2010 when she was about 6 months old, which was used her whole life, and then she had a second call, years later, of a long and short whistle. She loved new toys; singing and dancing to big band music (especially Louis Armstrong); an array of foods but particularly popcorn, pomegranate seeds, apple, and sunflower seeds; bathtime and showers; head scratches; meeting new people; opening her Christmas presents; and giving “bedtime-bedtime” kisses. She left an impression on everyone she met because of her gorgeous rainbow colors, intelligence, sweetness, and big personality. We would like to thank her for alerting us and protecting us from the big birds, airplanes, and other questionable activity outside her window and thank her for the love she brought to our lives, just as we loved her so much in return.

Sebastian

On May 15, 2022, Sebastian, age 14, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He will be dearly missed by his human mommy and daddy Heather and Doug. Sebastian loved to do laps around the couch. He would follow us around the house and meow letting us know it was time to feed him. He was the sweetest, most affectionate cat. We love you and miss you Sebastian.

Gene

My sweet Gene was in my life for 3 years and during some of the hardest parts of it. He brought me and everyone he came in contact with so much joy. He was the sweetest cat I’ve ever had, and he loved his peoples, cheese, and being my boyfriend’s sous chef in the kitchen. I’m so thankful for all of the time I’ve gotten to spend with Gene. He loved watching birds and going out on his harness to explore the yard. His energy and meows were infectious and he always wanted to snuggle. He is dearly missed and gone too soon. He was 3 years old and the best boy. His sisters Tina and Louise miss him very much. I’ll love you always my sweet Gene boy, and I miss every single day without you.

Trixie

Our loving Trixie came home in Daddy’s pocket on December 24, 2006 in the middle of a snowstorm as a Christmas present for Jeffrey.  Daddy named her after Trixie on speed racer.  Little did Trixie know how important she was going to become to those two guys.  Jeffrey would put T-shirts on her and cuddle her as his buddy.  Daddy and Trixie formed a bond like no one could imagine.  Almost like they were lucky to find each other and needed each other.  Daddy took care of Trixie as much as Trixie took care of him.  Two companions who did everything together and were inseparable.  Daddy and Trixie give a new meaning to “Man’s Best Friend”.   As one stated “The one absolute, unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world – the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog”…that is the same heartbeat that was felt between Daddy and Trixie.  Then one day Trixie welcomed Mommy and Zac into her life with open paws.  She had so much love to give.  She became Mommy’s baby too and took care of her just as she did daddy too.  Zac would love on her and get her all jazzed up calling “chicken nugget” she loved it.  When we would leave for work, she would force her way into brother Jeffrey’s room to snuggle the rest of the morning.  When we went on trips, she would love to go for sleep overs at Grandma Karen’s and Grandpap Randy’s, where she had her favorite chair and get lots of treats.  It wasn’t long until she welcomed her fury sister Eve into our world and had a little buddy to play tug a war with have someone to lick her and clean her face.  Trixie loved everyone she met and was the gentle giant whose heart was bigger than her.  Recently, she reluctantly welcomed a fury brother Neo into our home who took to her more than she to him.  But Neo looked after Trixie and always made sure to get her up for a feeding or to go outside and always wanted to protect both his dogs from the big dog barking behind the big fence next door.  Trixie touched many lives with her loving soul.  There never will be a more faithful fury companion than she was to Daddy! She will forever be Daddy and Mommy’s baby!  Trixie you have loved us, watched over us, protected us and were our faithful fury family member.  We will miss you with all our hearts!  Love, Daddy, Mommy, Jeffrey, Zac, Eve-Bean and Bubbas-Neo too!

Go On Merlin

On June 1, 2022, Go on Merlin “Merlin” crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
Merlin spent the first three and half years of his life in the kennels and on the race tracks. He was a good racer but retirement was a better fit for him. When he made it to our home at 4, he quickly became the biggest love bug and couch potato.
Merlin enjoyed running in the yard with his adoptive sisters and would hoard his squeaky toys when he was inside. He was big for a greyhound but if you ever couldn't find him all you had to do was squeak a toy. He had the biggest smile and was the happiest boy. Six and a half years wasn't nearly enough time to love and spoil him, but the memories of his zoomies and nose nudges will bring smiles to those who met him for years to come.

Lucy

Lucy is survived by her mom and dad Alison and Adam and her brothers  Dominick and Anthony and  her sisters Samantha and Lexi and her 2 cat brother Winston and rusty . Lucy loved being with her family she loved playing with her toys  sometime all of them at once she also love being a food tester and sneaking a taste of her mommy’s morning coffee . Lucy loved having her belly rubbed and her snuggle time.  Lucy was loved by everyone who had the chance to know her and will be dearly missed by everyone who’s heart she touched but most of all her family will miss her the most of all.

Jack Jack

On May 25, 2022, Jack Jack – our cat and cherished friend –  crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Seventeen years ago, when he found his way into our family, we could never have imagined the amount of happiness, love, and support that he would ultimately bring to our new family.

In his younger days, we would smile and laugh as he strutted about carrying Wally – the stuffed hedgehog that would remain his life-long friend.  All the while, meowing as his chubb swayed back and forth.  As he grew older and began to take pleasure in the simpler things, we enjoyed listening to him purr as he lounged in the slivers of sunlight that peeked through the windows.  Through it all and despite his occasionally aloofness, we took comfort knowing that he always knew – and was always there – when his family needed him most.

Still, despite these platitudes, we find it difficult to express the enormous impact that our “big boy” had on his family.  Saying goodbye to Jack is hard, but we know that the sorrow that we feel today is only temporary.  In time, we will accept that, even though we would give anything for just a little more time with our boy, the days that we had with this big black cat were some of the luckiest of our lives.

We love you, Jack.  When you find your sister, tell Elphie we love her, too.
